Yesterday I bought the superb new Rough Guide Map of
Ireland. The map is 1:350,00 scale and printed on both sides of a large single
sheet of rip and water proof paper. This is the only map you need for cycling
in Ireland outside of the cities.
The problem with most large scale maps is that they don’t
show the really small, quiet backroads which are best for cycling. The Rough
Guide Map shows every little back road in my home area. If you are planning on
a cycle tour in Ireland this is the map to buy.
